Our experienced axe coaches will teach you everything you need to know, from proper throwing techniques to safety guidelines and fun games to play with your group.

How old do you have to be to throw axes?

Guests 8 years old and up are welcome to participate in axe throwing. Our trained coaches adjust their instruction to each guest's experience level, helping kids, teens, and adults safely learn the basics and have fun.

Do I need experience?

Not at all! Most of our guests have never thrown an axe before.

One of our friendly team members will start your session with a safety briefing, demonstrate the proper throwing technique, and personally coach your group until everyone is sticking axes in the target and ready to play games.

What should I wear?

For everyone's safety, closed-toe shoes are required for all participants. We also recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely while throwing.

How long is an axe throwing session?

Each reservation includes 75 minutes of lane time, giving you plenty of time to learn, play games, and compete with friends and family.

Is axe throwing safe?

Yes. Safety is our highest priority. Every session begins with a thorough safety briefing from one of our trained coaches, who remains available throughout your visit to answer questions, offer tips, and ensure everyone has a safe, enjoyable experience.

Can I order food and drinks while throwing?

Absolutely! The Thirsty Axe offers a full restaurant and full-service bar, so you can enjoy great food, craft cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages before, during, or after your axe throwing session.

Is axe throwing good for groups?

Do I need a reservation?
